We see the iPhone platform as a Swiss Army knife – a tool that can be creatively applied at the point-of-care. Our passion for healthcare is driven by personal experiences and a belief that modern wireless technology - when integrated properly - can solve many of the current problems faced by the health care industry.
The Remedy team draws on the insights, optimization strategies, and best practices we learned while developing and managing one of the Top 10 paid iPhone apps in 2008. When Apple gave us early access to their 3.0 platform, we shifted our focus to healthcare because the industry felt like it needed practical mobile technology. This led to our collaboration with veteran health care entrepreneurs who are known for thoughtful innovation and strategic execution.
We are guided by the principles of social entrepreneurship and a belief that we can create products doctors will actually want to use.
Like most people, we don't agree with all the ideas being debated in Washington, DC relating to healthcare reform. But that's okay, we are practical idealists. Our mission is to design and build the next generation technology that can help make once impossible dreams a reality. We believe a solid example from the private sector can influence public policy.
